Market Report

  Wednesday, October 7, 2026

Good evening.

Greenhouse lines are looking strongest right now. Lilies and ranunculus have both picked up, while roses, hydrangea and carnations are all well supplied.

Outdoor crops are a different story this week, so if sunflower or dahlia is on your list, it’s worth moving early.

With Thanksgiving on Monday, here’s what’s looking good this week, what I’d move on early, and a few growers to have a look at.

Lilies on the floor this week Lilies on the floor this week

This week’s signal

Lilies are the line moving up.

Grower 334 has brought in a strong run, and there’s a good deal more on the floor than there was last week. Growers 328 and 375 have lilies in as well.

They’re greenhouse grown, there’s a good range of colour to choose from, and they’re a reliable line to build your Thanksgiving work around.

Ontario grown, from member growers.

From the market

What I’d move on early, and what there’s plenty of.

Sunflower Sunflower

Sunflower and dahlia

The first frost came through on Tuesday night and hit the outdoor crops, so I’d check these early. Sunflower is still on the floor from growers 390, 650, 266 and 361, with dahlia from 344, 229 and 339.

What’s here now is what came in before the frost or made it through. Celosia is lighter too. If any of these are on your Thanksgiving list, I’d order them sooner rather than later.

Ranunculus Ranunculus

Ranunculus

Ranunculus has swung back after two lighter weeks, and it’s back in volume. Grower 281 has most of what’s on the floor, with two other growers carrying some too.

There’s a fall assortment in XL and XXL, butterfly types, and a wide run of single colours including honey, chocolate red, hot pink and mauve.

What else changed this week

Calla

More in

Calla

Calla has picked back up after last week’s drop. Grower 339 has it, with several other growers carrying it as well.

  Cosmos

More in

Cosmos

Cosmos has picked up sharply this week. Grower 281 has most of it, in double pinks, single pinks, blush and white, with growers 390 and 234 carrying some as well.

Well supplied this week

Roses · Hydrangea · Carnations · Gerbera

Several growers are holding roses, hydrangea and carnations, and all three are up on last week. There’s plenty of gerbera too.

Need something specific? If there’s a variety you need and you don’t see it on OFG Direct, call the desk and we’ll have a look.
