Market Report

  Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Good evening.

The market is shifting into its late-season mix this week. Snowberry has picked up sharply, while roses, carnations and hydrangea are still giving buyers good options.

Sunflower, calla and ranunculus are a little tighter than they were last week, so if any of those are on your list, it’s worth checking them earlier in the week.

Below, what’s looking good, what’s worth moving on early, and a few growers to have a look at.

Snowberry on the floor this week Snowberry on the floor this week

This week’s signal

Snowberry is the line moving up.

Grower 203 has it right now, and there’s more than twice as much on the floor as there was last week while most of the market has gone the other way.

There’s pink, white and blush, from 40cm right up to 100cm. With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, it’s a good option if you want some berry and texture alongside the flowers.

From the market

What’s worth moving on early, and what’s still in good shape.

Sunflower Sunflower

Sunflower

Sunflower is still coming in, but the season is starting to show. Growers 361, 650, 390, 266 and 709 have it, with most of the Ontario supply now sitting with 361.

Shorter days and cooler nights ease production at this point in the season, and what is coming in is moving. Most stems are 65 to 75cm, with some dark-centred and plum in the mix. If sunflower is on your list this week, I’d check it early.

Chrysanthemums Chrysanthemums

Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum is still one of the easier lines to work with right now. Growers 315 and 376 have most of the Ontario supply, with thirteen other growers carrying it too.

Disbuds make up most of what’s here, with spray and pom alongside. The colour is good for the season too: bronze, copper and yellow, plus tinted colours from 315. It’s lighter than last week, but there’s still plenty to choose from.

What else changed this week

Anemone

More in

Anemone

There’s more than twice as much anemone as there was last week. Growers 281, 817, 840 and 841 have it, with 281 holding most. White, red, burgundy and purple are all on the floor.

  Alstroemeria

More in

Alstroemeria

Alstroemeria has picked up a little since last week. Growers 315, 651 and 642 have it, with most of the current supply coming from 651.

Calla

Lighter

Calla

Calla has swung the other way after last week’s jump. It’s down by more than two thirds, with growers 339, 824, 720 and 643 carrying it this week.

  Ranunculus

Lighter

Ranunculus

Ranunculus is lighter again this week, but still available. Growers 281 and 817 are carrying it, with most sitting with 281. It’s down by over a third, so it’s one I’d look at earlier if you need it.

Lilies Lilies

Lighter

Lilies

Lilies are only a little lighter than last week, and the range is holding up well. Growers 328, 334, 351 and 375 have them, with another grower carrying some as well, across Oriental, Asiatic, OT and LA types.

Safe to plan around

Roses · Carnations · Hydrangea

Several growers are holding each, and both carnations and hydrangea have stayed level with last week.

Gerbera is available year-round. If there’s a variety you need and you don’t see it on OFG Direct, call the desk and we’ll have a look.

Order by 11pm tonight for pickup at 6am tomorrow.

Six days a week. No Sunday pickups.
