Good Morning!
The field crops are turning. Cooler nights and heavier dew each morning do the same thing every September, and it is on the floor this week. The covered lines are going the other way.
Lisianthus is where we would spend the most time this morning. Below that, what is thinner than last week, what is safe to plan around, and the one field crop still running hard.

This week’s signal
Lisianthus is the line moving up.
Growers 354 and 376 are both cutting it, with another grower carrying it right now as well.
There is close to a third more on the floor than there was last week. One of the growers behind it runs seasonally, which is why the volume is here now. Mostly 65cm, doubles, frills and singles, so you can pick a form rather than take what is left.
| Two member growers cutting it, plus another carrying it. |

From the market
What is winding down, and what is not.
Cooler nights and more dew in the morning slow the outdoor crops down. That is the ordinary September pattern, and it is showing in this week’s numbers. Dahlia, snapdragon, celosia and amaranthus are all lighter on the floor than they were last week.
None of them are gone. There is still enough of each to work with. But if one of them is carrying a recipe you are quoting this week, this is the week to confirm it rather than assume it.
Sunflower is the field crop still running hard. Nine growers are holding it and there is more this morning than last week, at 65cm. If you want the stem your retail customer expects to see in September, it is here and it is Ontario grown.
Underneath all of it, the covered lines held or gained: lisianthus, rose, carnation, ranunculus and hydrangea are all level with last week or better. That is where to build the parts of the week that cannot move.

What else changed this week
More in
Snowberry and ninebark
More than double the snowberry of last week. Grower 203 holds most of it and three others are carrying some, and 203 is still the only ninebark. Structure and texture rather than another bloom. The window for it is short every year.
More available
Ranunculus
Up again on last week, and it was already worth planning around. Grower 281 has almost all of it, with a little from two others. 45cm, in XL and XXL grades.
Lilies
Eight growers, holding level with last week, across Oriental, Asiatic, OT and LA. The range is the point here rather than the volume.
Steady
Dahlia
Down by about a third on last week, which is the season doing what it does. Six growers still have it, so there is colour and form to pick from, just less of it.
Thinner
Snapdragon
Last week there was enough to build with. This week there is less than half of that. Growers 233 and 305 are still cutting it, with another carrying some. Worth confirming before you commit it to a line.

Safe to plan around
Roses · Hydrangea · Carnations · Chrysanthemum
Several growers each, steady all week. Roses and carnations both came up on last week.
Gerbera runs year round here. If you need a variety you are not seeing on the shop, call the desk and we will look for it.

Three growers worth a look this week for what they are holding.
